The Bugle Pattern and Principle Pt. 2

Pattern and Principle, Pt. 2
Bishop Bart Pierce
August 20, 2017

We are talking about how all of life is based on principles and following patterns. Patterns are ways in which the universe operates. You can become successful and prosper if you base your life on principles and find the patterns that work for you. I mentioned that there are four principles we all start learning in our journey as human beings (listening, talking, reading, writing). Why am I telling you that? Today, parents teach the first two, and then they turn the last two over to so-called professionals. Parents teach the first two principles, listening and speaking, in their homes. Then, kindergarten comes, and first grade, and you shove them out the door and you let the professionals teach them to read and write. Is it true, or not? Then, what happens is, we lose control over what our learning little child is getting. Is that right?

Isn’t this amazing? In 1644, Massachusetts passed a law making fathers responsible for teaching their children to read. It was the only starting tool. The fathers were to teach the children to read. I think it was a good law. How far have we fallen? Where, dads do not teach their children to read. Where, dads tell the moms to teach the children to read. Where, dads are no longer engaged in the reading habits of their child. So, the kids come home and tell their mom what they read, and dads have no interaction with the reading responsibility of the child. So, the shaping of the child’s mind is now happening by a professional, and maybe a mother. Reading is the most inexpensive thing a parent can do with a family. My children never left my house, when they were first in school, without me reading to them. I read the scriptures to my children, everyday, because I understood that it was my responsibility to shape their destiny. I didn’t raise up wusses or snowflakes. Why? Because, I taught my kids.

Remember, once you make a choice, you become the servant of that choice. Life is composed of choices. Circumstances do not determine your level of life. What you do with circumstances is what determines the level of your life. Stop blaming the circumstances. It’s what you do with the circumstance that matters. If we could get this we could change our lives, today. If you don’t like the life you’re living, then change your choices. If your finances are not where they are supposed to be, then change your choices. If your investments are sinking, get them out and reinvest. Do something! Change your life today!

Power of Prayer
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. – Hebrews 11:1

Lord, it is by faith we stand (2 Corinthians 1:24). I want to have so much faith that I am fully convinced that whatever You have promised to me, You will also be able to perform it in my life (Romans 4:21). I know that faith is a gift from You, and I pray that my faith, no matter how it is tested by fire, will glorify You and bring all the praise and honor and glory that belong to You. Thank You that You have given me Your Word whereby my faith can be increased. Help me to grow in my understanding of it. May Your Word be so mixed with my faith that it will glorify You (Hebrews 4:2).

From Our E-Store

Life is full of daily battles. Why do good Christian soldiers – pastors, leaders, intercessors, and others – lose some of those battles? Is it possible that they fail to reach their greatest potential because they go to battle without the covering of a spiritual father? In this day of do-it-yourselfism, Bishop Bart Pierce says it’s time to address our need for fathers – both spiritual and natural. It’s God’s desire and the groan of the world for mature sons to come forth.

You can purchase this, and many other books, in our Revival Bookstore before or after any service!
