The Presence of God is Essential

It’s almost four years ago that I brought a group of fifteen people down here, and you all prayed over us and prayed for us to be launched. It was the beginning of September of 2016. So, for that I am grateful! I’m grateful for my Bishop and for my pastors who have poured into me, plucked me up and sent me out and said, “Now, it’s time!”

The accuser of the brethren would try to silence you. The spirit of this age would try to silence you. I titled my message, “The Presence of God is Essential”. We talk about what is essential. The presence of God is Essential. That building was one of the biggest church buildings in our city. At one point it had 1700 people. It had 2200 hundred people in their Sunday School classes during the Sunday School movement. What happened? When it closed down there were thirty-five people scattered around, trying to upkeep it and keep it alive. What happened? What happens when the presence of God lifts? And, what happens when the presence of God is there?

The presence of God always brings life. The presence of God always brings hope. The presence of God always brings peace. The presence of God brings rest. The presence of God brings joy. When it became a house of man, because religion swept in, it silenced the people. And, the walls started crumbling, the plaster started falling.

The same happens for all of us. If we’re called to be the temple of the Holy Spirit, it’s the presence of God alive in you. If the presence of God is alive in you, you can’t be silent. If the presence of God is alive in you, you can’t be fearful! Because, where the presence of God is, there is no fear! There’s a reverence for God. But, not fear of man! Surely not fear of any kind of virus! There’s a respect for those things, but not a fear.
