Harvest, His Time of Favor

Much of Christianity has been indoctrinated by the culture, and the culture has said, “Just go and He’ll bless you.” But, you’re not going to get blessed just because you smile or cry or look pretty or desperate. You better sow some seeds. If you don’t sow any seeds you won’t reap any crop. A lot of people have an idea that the favor of God means that, “I don’t do anything but just put my hands out and show up.” But, the scripture is contrary to that.

Christianity has suffered because some people display the blessings of God in their life, and the rest sit there and go, “Umm Hmmm, God must love them more…” We get an attitude toward somebody getting blessed, instead of, “Daggone! My father loves me just as much as he does them, and if that’s true, then He will bless me!” What’s he doing? He is sowing seed and, when he sows seed, he gets a product back. All you can do is copy that picture. Stop copying the fact that you want to just get his blessings. Go and find out how he got his blessings.

I grabbed hold of this truth. If God is going to bless me, I’ve got to sow some seed. I’ve got to put something in the ground. Results in this seed and results in harvest are a direct result of the seeds that you’ve sown. Everything in God’s creation works on set times and seasons. Psalm 30:5, “For His anger is but for a moment, but His favor is for a lifetime or in His favor is life.”
