Now, talking about breakthrough and what God’s been doing, a couple other things happened. I’m just sharing with you a little bit of what’s been happening in the last couple weeks for me. This week in my spirit, I hear this Newsboys song, “It’s a Spirit Thing.” You guys remember that one at all? That’s from 1994. That’s like way back. I just want to read a couple lyrics on this.

“It’s just a Spirit thing, it’s a holy nudge.
It’s like a circuit charge in the brain
It’s just a Spirit thing, it’s here to guard my heart
It’s just a little hard to explain
It pushes when I quit; It smells a counterfeit
Sometimes it works a bit like a teleprompter.
When it’s teleprompting you, I pray you let it through
And I’ll help you with the how, but for now
It’s just a Spirit thing, it’s a holy nudge
It’s like a circuit charge in the brain
It’s just a Spirit thing, it’s here to guard my heart
It’s just a little hard to explain.”

It pushed when I wanted to quit!  There are things in our lives that we want to give up on too soon. Bishop’s pushed me multiple times, as he has for many of you, and he says you can’t live in the land of almost. You’ve gotta push through and break through.

We could’ve given up and said, “Well, we’re gonna give in,” because I heard the chirping of all these people. I’m responsible for thousands of people that are coming to Hoop Fest and for some of them, maybe their health isn’t that good. In those moments is when we have to listen to the Holy Spirit. We pay attention and do our due diligence. We prepare, right? We make a decision before a decision ever has to be made. We do that preparation so in that moment, the moment of suddenly, you’re ready for it. Because we will always have twists. We will always have turns. We will always have curve balls. And, we will always have suddenlies.

There is more to this message! We will continue on Friday!
