What does it look like when the church walks in both great power and great grace?

Acts 4:33 gives us a stunning picture: the early believers testified to the resurrection of Jesus with great power, and great grace rested upon them all. These were not passive, quiet people sitting on the sidelines of history. They had just been threatened, imprisoned, and told to silence themselves forever. And their response was to pray for more boldness, not less. That collision between pressure and purpose is something we all face, and the message here is clear: the trials we encounter are not meant to destroy us but to develop us.

Drawing from James 1, we are reminded that the testing of our faith produces patience, and patience, when we let it have its full work, brings us to a place of maturity where we lack nothing. The journey from seed time to harvest is never instant. It is intentional, consistent, and built on trust. Little by little, as Deuteronomy 7:22 tells us, God drives out what stands against us.

The question for each of us is whether we are willing to stay in the process long enough to see it through.
