Be The Church: Don't Grieve Holy Spirit | Thursday Service | September 10, 2026

What truly brings us joy?

Not the fleeting kind that comes and goes with circumstances, but the deep, sustaining joy that holds us steady no matter what surrounds us. This message takes us on a journey inward, pressing us to examine the honest condition of our souls. Drawing from Psalm 16:11, we are reminded that fullness of joy is found not merely in what God gives us, but in God himself. His presence, his word, and his people form the three pillars that refresh and renew us from the inside out.

Jeremiah 15:16 echoes this truth, describing the word of God as the joy and rejoicing of the heart. We are challenged to ask ourselves a piercing question: have the things we do for God begun to replace simply being with him? There is a profound difference between religious activity and genuine communion, and this message calls us back to that place of intimate, consistent relationship, like setting a standing appointment with someone we love and actually showing up.

The invitation is not one of condemnation but of restoration, urging us to find that quiet corner, that sacred space, where we can meet with God regularly and grow deeper in knowing him.
