The Faith Must Become Your Faith

Ephesians 5 will really help you! Verse 11. “Take no part in and have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds and enterprises of darkness, but instead let your lives be so in contrast as to expose and reprove and convict them.” You see, the Church has tried to be amoral. The church people have tried to be amoral. When I say the church, I don’t mean this building. I’m talking about you. We’ve tried to be amoral, which means I’m neither hot nor cold. We’ve tried to be amoral, that we stand in the middle so we get accepted by everything and everybody. We don’t want to stand against something so we choose…

I see Hillary Clinton has a new venue and she’s visiting churches now, and she feels that she has a word for the church. Some churches of different persuasions are opening the doors to her. Her comments are ‘that the church must become more tolerant’. She’s trying to get the church to continue, through the humanistic manifest, to begin to accept same sex marriage, abortion, and all these other ills that are on our nation, accepting them under the guise of being tolerant. That’s the spirit that got us in the trouble we’re in today. You watch! When they send Jezebel to the church… She’s not it, personified, but she carries a mantle, along with millions of others.

But, when they send somebody like that to the church, what they’re doing is… They’re afraid of the church. They’re afraid that the church might wake up! They’re afraid the church might wake up and say, “Enough is enough!” Last Sunday we talked about it. Remember, Jeremiah was buried in the mud up to his neck and he finally said, “It’s like fire shut up in my bones. If I don’t get out of this mud and speak, I’m going to blow up!” God’s people must hear the Word of the Lord, today.

Verse 11, “Take no part in and have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds and enterprises of darkness…” Stay in your bubble. “For it is a shame even to speak or mention of the things that such people practice in secret.” It is a shame that God’s people want to watch the Oscars, the Emmys, and all those other awards. What is it that they have that you’re so bankrupt that you need? What do they have that this book cannot satisfy? If God can take me out of years of drug addiction and jails and everything in between, by His Word, God can deliver anybody by this Book! Why would we want to go and partake of the vomit of those that practice these deeds? The church has got to stop trying to be amoral. You’ve got to stop trying to fit in.
