Look at Ephesians 3:14-15. Now, you’re going to understand some of this message as I’m going through it in succinct order, but you’ll get some of the things because you know the scripture. This is really tying it together so that we can get to and understand the time we live in.

Some of you know that I was just recently with the Vice President and he asked us to share. I had about eight minutes that I shared and one of the things I said, he took off from and was really excited about it. He took it and shared what I shared in a broader way. It was this. The biggest issue facing the culture of the world today, and in America, for sure, is the fatherlessness in the nation. But, fatherlessness is not isolated to just the culture. It’s in the church. We must embrace this from a revelatory position of understanding that God started everything as a father. And, he gave birth, not to a baby, but to a son.

Ephesians 3:14-15, “For this reason seeing the greatness of this plan by which you are built together in Christ, I bow my knees before the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, For Whom every family in heaven and on earth is named.”

So, God is identified as father to the whole family. Wait a minute! You’re not getting it still. I’m talking about the whole family. Do you understand that? I have a family that through adoption I have a grandchild that we rescued, who’s mother went to prison for 19 years. And, out of our girl’s home, we rescued this little fella, who is African American. His name is Sully and he’s a big kid, today. He’s in my family! I’m his grandfather. Then, I have some Spanish kids, too, but they came through a marriage. I’ve got Spanish, Black and Irish! If you put all that together it’s quite a meal when we eat.

The key that I want you to catch, today, is that we’re talking about God, the creator, refers to himself as Father. The Apostle Paul said, “I bow my knee to Jesus.” Don’t you bow your knee to anybody but Jesus! It says the whole family in Heaven and Earth is named. The word family is the word patria, and it comes from the Greek word translated for ‘father’. So, it says, “The whole ‘father’ in Heaven and Earth is named.” So, the whole ‘Fatherly’ name is given. How many of you know that fathers give the name?  So, we see biblically that we are really all of one family.

We will continue on Monday! Have a great weekend!
